The slate board is non-porous with a smooth surface and hand- crafted edges. Clean the board with olive oil (which will darken the slate) or a cloth and warm water. Do not use abrasive or lemon based cleaners, or vinegar to clean, board is not dishwasher safe. Felt pads on bottom of board protect table or counter surfaces.
