The boots do run on the big size but we kept them anyway figuring with heavy socks in the winter they would be fine. The main purpose for the boots is to walk around our property in Vermont through the muck, forest, and stream. They do the job...easy to slip right on and off. I wear a 9 and it's way too big. Even with a pair of thick wool socks that wear a blister on the back of the heel!!
