This technology delivers niacin in a continuous, controlled rate over a 6-8 hour period, throughout the tablets transit time in the bowel. Flushing sometimes happens with time-release niacin, as there can be fairly large surges of niacin released intermittently. However, flushing is less likely with controlled release niacin.

This product is available in 500 mg and 750 mg tablets, with this new higher dosage of 750 mg being more convenient for those with a greater need for lipid management.
