But do you all know that Mi Earphone actually is not produced by Xiaomi itself?  For its audio products， Xiaomi turned to 1More， a startup founded by ex-Foxconn executives who started the company to launch quality audio products at affordable prices.  The Shenzhen-based company has already won a few IF Design awards. GGV Capital invested an undisclosed amount in the company in its Series B funding. This time they launched a new Mi Earphone and there is a fun activity crowdfunding going on which require the co-operation of Mi Fans.

What does hybrid technology mean?
Hybrid technology is the combination of one dynamic driver and two-way balanced-armature (BA) drivers. The combination of dynamic and BA drivers， and their relative position to each other in the housing， allowed us to develop the smallest three-way in-earphones that offer a true reference-quality sound.

In order to produce a high quality audio we need the driver to play their own role. The balanced-armature will be handling on high frequency audio while dynamic driver will handle the low frequency audio thus providing a more 3D surround effect.
