HOVID FEFUR is an iron supplement. Iron is an essential component in the physiological formation of red blood cell, adequate amounts of which are necessary for effective erythropoiesis (red blood cell formation) and results in efficient oxygen transportation in blood. Iron also serves as a cofactor of several essential enzymes.

• Product Details

  Each tablet contains:
  Ferrous fumarate (equivalent to Iron 33 mg) 100 mg
  Indication: For prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemias resulting from inadequate diet, malabsorption, pregnancy, chronic hemorrhage
  Recommended dosage: Adults: 2 tablets a day
  Children above 4 years old: 1 tablet a day
  Caution:
  • Not recommended for patients with hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis and other anemic conditions unless accompanied by iron deficiency
  • Do not take iron salts orally if receiving injection
  • Caution in alcoholic patients as well as to patients with hepatitis, active injections, intestinal tract inflammatory conditions such as enteritis, colitis, diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, pancreatitis and peptic ulcers.
  • The tablets should not be taken for prolonged periods without medical advices.
