Along with the 3150 series that appeared at the same time, the stainless steel body was adopted for the first time as a vehicle to operate the Nagoya main line system.
It has a performance that can be combined with existing VVVF vehicles, and is operated jointly with 3100, 3500, and 3700 series commuter vehicles.
Room facilities are arranged in a combination of long seat and conversion cross seat, and it is a vehicle that can respond to various needs.
