Collecta is determined to bring us figures that are out of the ordinary. In 2012, the company added the prey series to their line with a dead triceratops figure complete with open wounds, blood, and bite marks. The dead stegosaurus and tyrannosaurus rex came shortly after.
Collecta hasn't skimped on the gory details in bringing stegosaurus back to decomposing non-life. The body cavity has been opened exposing the ribs and parts of the intestinal tract with rivulets of partially congealed blood seen on the lower portion of the belly.
The introduction of a stegosaur corpse will help model makers to create an authentic scene reflecting life in the late jurassic. This stegosaurus has been attacked and killed by a large meat-eating dinosaur.
The model makers at collecta have taken great care to depict the stegosaurus corpse and to reflect what may very well have happened in a fight to the death between a stegosaur and a large, meat-eating theropod dinosaur.
