Batik was originally reserved as an art form for Javanese royalty. Certainly it's royal nature was clear as certain patterns were reserved to be worn only by royalty from the Sultan's palace.

In batik production, there is only one unique production per motif and design. Hence, the color and design cannot be exactly the same every production. This is a characteristic of handmade batik. No designs are the same though the pattern used is the same. Each of our nyonya bag are made using quality batik, handcrafted seamlessly together inside out. Look at the interior to appreciate. Bag size is around 10.5 inch height by 12.5 inch width when flatted (Bag handles not included in measurement). Each bag comes with 2 side pockets. Among the side pockets, one comes with a golden durable zip(shown in pic), the other side is a pocket.
