How to Administer Frontline Plus for Cats
Frontline flea and tick control is designed for use on dogs and cats. Healthy cats most often keep themselves cleaned and nearly free of pests. However, using Frontline will kill existing fleas and ticks as well as prevent more from attacking the animal for up to 30 days. You can administer Frontline for cats in the form of liquid in tubes or spray without the assistance of a veterinarian.
Method : Applying Frontline Plus
- Turn the tube of Frontline Plus so the label is facing you.

Break off the end of the tube at the line indicator.
- Hold the cat securely so it cannot move freely.
- Part the cat's hair on the back of its neck so the skin is exposed.
- Ensure that the area you choose is out the cat's reach for licking.
- Position the tube in the parted hair between the cat's shoulders.
- Squeeze the tube several times until all of the liquid is dispensed.
- Only use 1 0.5 ml (.02 ounces) tube per application for all cats.
- Administer Frontline Pro once per month.
- Wait 24 hours after applying Frontline before allowing your pet to swim. Also wait 24 hours before bathing your pet.
- Do not throw unused portions into a trash can. Contact your local solid waste company for proper disposal.
- Check with your veterinarian before using Frontline on pregnant or nursing cats.
