About Thor's Hammer
According to Norse legend, Mjolnir was created as part of a wager between Loki, the god of mischief, and the dwarves, Sindri and Brokkr. Loki tried to sabotage the brothers creation by transforming into a fly and repeatedly biting the brother who was operating the bellows of the forge. This caused Mjolnir to emerge slightly deformed, having a shortened handle only long enough to be wielded with one hand. This didn't lessen the power of the hammer, however, as Thor was able to "smite as hard as desired". If he threw it at anything, it would never miss, and would always return to his hand.
So Loki lost his bet, but as the trickster is want to do, he was able to worm his way out of paying his debt on a technicality.
A Little About MasterLinks
We are a very small USA seller trying to offer some cool products to unique individuals. We are Sci-Fi nuts, we are gamers, we are comic collectors. When you buy from us, you are supporting a business that wants to engage with and add value to "geek culture", if you will. Unlike many Amazon sellers, we only sell stuff that we think is cool and that we have some sort of attachment to in our own lives. So when we say thank you, we mean it!
