That may be why I see complaints here of leaks. This has been a problem for a while on various versions I have used of crest. The size of the tube may or may not contribute to the problem. A smaller diameter cap has less leverage to snap closed than a larger cap. I can't get the 5 oz size on my store any more and the 3.5 oz size they carry in order to stock the dozens of variations of crest is rather hard to snap closed and there is variation from tube to tube. One tube was the hardest and took a rocking action in addition to the closing pressure to get it to snap all the way closed. I have an old Prohealth clean cinnamon which is my favorite flavor in the 5 oz size Lot 3264GB and the cap works perfectly. That cap is a different design though. The current 3.5 oz cap is completely round even on the hing side. I've used another brand of toothpaste for years. After going to the dentist for the first time as an adult, I switched to Crest. I've used this toothpaste for many months and I like it. My gums do not bleed and aren't very puffy. I rinse with the clinical mouthwash afterwards. Thank you, Crest.
