The history of KELTY can be said to be the transition of backpack as it is.

This basic concept is based on Dick Kelty's "invention" more than 50 years ago.
The KELTY brand began with debt of 500 dollars at home in Dick Kelti in Southern California in 1952.
Kelty was a garage, fighting with an aluminum frame with a welding machine in hand, his wife, Nina, continued sewing in the kitchen.
Kelty, herself an enthusiastic outdoor man, did not compromise on products that he could not convince and made day to day making improvements.
However, a turning point came soon.
The eyes of young people across the country were attracted to the unprecedented mono, aluminum frame + divided nylon compartment in the catalog.
A new culture called backpacker was born from here, and it became a status to carry the KELTY logo on the back.
