Since 1688 French law has declared that only soaps produced by the following traditional methods shall bear the famous mark. Poured into large pits until it hardens, scored into huge 80 pound blocks and brought outside to dry, where you will find bits of Mediterranean sea salt lingering on the blocks. Safe, biodegradable and natural, Savon de Marseille olive oil soap has been traditionally used to clean everything from infants to laundry and dishes. It helps remove grease, oil and stains during cleaning and it excellent for people with sensitive skin for use in the shower. It is truly an all-purpose soap. Made with a minimum of 72% olive oil with the balance being pure vegetable oils, Savon de Marseille is soft and gentle on skin and one of the most moisturizing soaps you will find.
