They do appear to be a 1/2 size too large from my normal 7.5 shoe size so I did have to exchange for a 7. I am a little concerned about them rubbing on the side on my heels, but that may be corrected by wearing a couple pairs of socks with them around the house. The low heel just enough to add some needed length to my 5.2 stature without being treacherous. The color is a true bright red.
