What is the role of LutiMax® in ALS, Alzheimer's, Autism, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's and Stroke?

The key neuro-degenerative disorders are:
1. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
2. Alzheimer’s disease
3. Autism (ASD)
4. Multiple sclerosis
5. Parkinson’s disease
6. Stroke
The outcomes of LutiMax® for patients with neuro-degenerative disorders are:
1. Less negative awkward behaviour
2. Better communication
3. Better daily living skills

It is a debate in the medical field if multiple sclerosis should be housed under autoimmune disorders or neuro-degenerative disorders. In Singapore, multiple sclerosis is managed by the neuro team.
Basically, all the above diseases are caused by unregulated mast cells and T cells which are part of the autoimmune system. This imbalance causes the T cells to attack the central nervous system or parts of it, thus causing neuro inflammation and its accompanying neudo-degenerative effects.
Inflammation in the brain's cognition centres
Increasing evidence shows neuro-inflammation is associated with neuropsychiatric disorders. Regardless of its basic etiology, accumulating evidence suggests an association between neurological disorders and inflammation in the brain’s cognition centres. This explains patients suffering from neurodegenerative conditions such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer’s disease, autism (ASD), multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and stroke having to cope with challenges involving communication, control and social interaction, with family and peers.
The picture below illustrates how autism (ASD), a neuro-degenerative condition affects patients.

Luteolin, the active ingredient in LutiMax® has anti-inflammatory, and mast cell blocking effects that improve patients' communication, daily living skills and social interactions.
Figure 2a: Why it is important to block mast cell stimulation and T cell-activation in neuro-inflammation
Mast cells are found throughout the body and are a part of the immune system.
Inside the mast cell are numerous secretory granules containing different chemicals that cause allergies and inflammation. These unique cells control many bodily functions and are important immune regulators and infection fighting cells.
However, if we have too many of these covert immune cells and they misbehave, severe symptoms and serious disorders can result.
Figure 2b: Why it is important to block mast cell stimulation and T cell-activation in neuro-inflammation
T-cells are essential for human immunity. They can be divided into killer T-cells and helper T-cells.
Killer T-cells have ‘X-ray vision’. This means they are able to see inside our bodies own cells just by scanning their surface. This mechanism allows killer T-cells to hunt down and destroy cells that are infected with germs or that have become cancerous.
Helper T-cells create an immune response and play important roles in all arms of immunity.
When T-cells are unregulated, they upset the autoimmune system and trigger neuro-inflammation.
The extensive and growing body of scientific literature shows the bioflavonoid Luteolin has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and mast cell blocking actions that enhance neuroprotective effects. Luteolin was first shown to improve the cognitive performance in a mouse model of ASD. Luteolin’s potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties inhibit the release of inflammatory mediators from human mast cells. This reduces maternal interleukin 6 autism-like behavioural deficit related to social interaction behaviour in mice.

How does LutiMax® help patients cope with neuro-degenerative disorders?
In a world with an absence of understanding of prevention, little success in treatment, and an unfortunate history of unscrupulous industries preying on the families of those affected with neuro-degenerative disorders. LutiMax®, while not providing a cure, appears to be a safe, inexpensive essential nutrient that can provide significant improvement in children and adults with autism (ASD), and other neuro-degenerative disorders including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Alzheimer’s disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and stroke.
Approved by the FDA as a medical food, LutiMax® as a Conditionally Essential Nutrient (CEN) is a safe and effective adjunct to standard medication and behavioural therapy for children and adults with neuro-degenerative disorders.
LutiMax® is a unique, proprietary, patented combination of Rutin and Luteolin bioflavonoid mixture designed to produce and maintain high serum concentrations of Luteolin in the body. Because Luteolin has anti-inflammatory and mast blocking cell actions to aid in neuroprotection and better cognitive functions, patients with neuro-degenerative disorders, along with their family members and caregivers, can enjoy a better quality of life with LutiMax®.
LutiMax® is hypoallergenic and does not interact with drugs administered during treatment to cause side effects. It is suitable for vegetarians.
When integrated with rutin, another power nutrient, the healing properties of luteolin are amplified.
You may find formulations of luteolin and rutin on the market. However, their concentrations are not optimised. These manufacturers and distributors have breached the patent.
