How to change service password: SMS MM to 10010, china unicom will reply the method to change service password. The service password can be used to change plan, login to china unicom online service center, etc.

How to enable data(3G): When you arrive China, you can call 021-10010, choose "人工服务", to ask them to enable data for you, which will be 40RMB/Month for 500MB data or 80RMB/Month for 1GB data (Price may change by China Unicom). You need to enter the service password mentioned above to process this. And please remember to call them again to stop the service if you are not going to use data service anymore, please note all the conversation would be in Chinese.

The Card is able to be activated in Singapore or most of the countries overseas, to activate just insert the SIM card into your phone, wait SMS from China Unicom,  then make a phone call (no need to get through) or send a sms.

It is stated 180 days valid period in card manual, but according to China Unicom, it is still 2 years and it is easy to extend with little amount top up.

激活卡的方法： 将卡放入手机，等待一段时间后（一般不会超过半个小时）， 会收到中国联通发来的短信，用手机打一个电话（新加坡本地不用+65, 不需要接通），就成功激活了。如果打不通，可以等待一段时间再试。
