Those rose shaped bottle caps absolutely kill my hands when I TRY to open a new container! 99 times out of a hundred I can't get them off! I have to ask my husband to do it. Yesterday I bought a new bottle. Tried in vain to get the cap off. Waited for hubs to get home from work. Forgot to have him open it. Now I'm stuck for another full day (on the weekend) unable to do laundry because I can't get the painful lid off! I try using a cloth between my hand and the cap to ease some of the pain. I've beaten the lid with a knife and several other objects....kinda like you do a jelly jar lid when it's tough to get off. NOTHING works! I hate those caps with a passion. I'm giving up Downy if they can't put a decent cap on their product! Who cares about fancy cut caps?!!! I need to use the product without asking for help to get it open! How lame is that! I have always loved and appreciated my downy until several months ago when I purchased a new bottle, always the largest quantity that I could find, and found that the fragnant was different (horrible smell) and the texture was much thinner--down-right watery. I thought maybe the wrong solution had been put into a Ultra Downy bottle. Unfortunely, I used that bottle and purchased another one and another and another to find the same results. I usually bought the blue or green caps (for years) and loved them. Since these no longer worked for me, about three weeks ago, I decided to buy the pink cap, which I used to use many years ago, and found it to be equally as disgusting as the blue and green caps. I should have returned each of these last four bottles that I purchased. I convinced myself that the problem would get solved and I'd have my product back.
