Binchotan (Japanese oak) charcoal has been used for its properties that absorb harmful substances in water and air. Binchotan charcoal from Kishu, Japan is the highest grade. Each stick needs to be activated by boiling in water for 10 minutes and dried. From there, place it in the leak-proof glass water bottle to have great tasting water on the go. The same charcoal re-activation process can be done every 2 weeks. Bottle is dishwasher safe, however the bottle cap is not dishwasher safe. The bottle holds 16 ounces.
