The Opalescence sticky, viscous formula does not leach from the tray like other bleaching gels, and the sticky gel holds the comfortable tray securely in place. Potassium nitrate and fluoride decrease sensitivity while strengthening enamel and preventing caries. Twenty percent water content prevents dehydration and shade relapse, making Opalescence one of the most reliable bleaching gels available.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT EXPIRATION DATE: Each Opalescence syringe has an expiration date imprinted on the body of the syringe, near the end where the handle enters the syringe. Example: J055 (J - is a batch letter; next two digits are an expiration month; last digit is expiration year), the expiration date in the example above is May/2015.

OPALESCENCE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Put a small dot of Opalescence in every tooth impression on your teeth tray.  Use no more than 1/3 to 1/2 of syringe per treatment.
2. Brush teeth before inserting tray. Lightly tap tray to adapt tray sides to teeth. Wear Opalescence 10% for 8-10 hours or overnight, Opalescence 15% for 4-6 hours, Opalescence 20% for 2-4 hours, and Opalescence 35% for 30 minutes.
3. Remove excess gel with clean finger or soft toothbrush. Rinse twice; do not swallow rinsed gel.
4. If significant sensitivity occurs, stop treatment and consult dentist.
5. Clean tray with soft brush and cool tap water.
