Alaffia''s Extra Rich Authentic African Black Soap contains additional fair trade shea butter for a skin cleansing & moisturizing experience that is silky smooth. In West Africa, black soap is known by its Yoruba name, Osse Dudu. ''Dudu'' means the color black, which comes from extensive ''cooking'' of the soap to the point of charcoal. Many cultures in West Africa use charcoal to detoxify & purify the skin. No chemical preservatives, color enhances, or synthetic fragrances are used.

Directions
Use: Apply small amount into hand, lather & apply to body with water for gentle cleaning. Suitable as a facial cleanser, body wash, shampoo, hand soap, and shaving soap.Free OfParabens, animal testing, fragrance, GMOs, SLS, gluten.
