Product Information
ISOCAL is a complete liquid diet formulated to provide a well-balanced nutrition. May be used as sole source of nutrition or oral supplement. Isocal provides complete balanced nutrition. It contains ultratrace minerals and meets at least 100% of the RDIs for proteins, vitamins and minerals in 2000 Calories(1890ml). Can be fed as a tube feeding or orally. Isocal has a bland, unsweetened taste and is lactose free.
It is sucrose and lactose free with a pleasant neutral taste. Contains MCT oil, a component of the fat source that is easily digestible and well absorbed.
Directions
Follow doctor's instructions. Isocal tube feeding may be given by continuous drip or at intervals. It can be initiated at full strength. However the rate should be adjusted for the comfort of the patients. For malnourished individuals or those who have not been nourished via the intestinal tract for several days, it is advisable to establish the regimen gradually; feed less than the caloric requirements on the first day.
Oral feeding: May be used for total nutrition, or with and between meals.
Tube feeling: Follow physician's instructions. Adjust flow rate, volume and dilution according to patient's condition and tolerance. May require additional fluid to meet water needs. Avoid contamination during preparation and use.
Not for parenteral (Intravenous) use.
