One thing I could not build was a monitor. I waited and found the U2412 at a better than normal deal the week of Cyber Monday. I was a little hestiant at first because of what some previous reviewers have said, but after owning it about a month, I have had no problems of any kind. The picture quality is fantastic! Much better than the previous HP monitor I was using. The colors are nice and bright. Text is super sharp and easily read. The product seems to be quite well built in my opinion. It should last a few years. The absolute best part of the U2412 is the resolution. 1920x1200. Those extra few lines come in very handy when doing any kind of work in Photoshop, Illustrator, or Premiere. I do a lot of media work and the difference over 1920x1080 is definately noticebale. The monitor has beautiful, crisp colour and is viewable at many angles. The build quality is really quite solid and very easy to adjust. Unfortunately, only one of the two monitors works properly. The one that does not work has image ghosting/lines and the colour is completely off. When the monitor is unplugged from the computer, anything that was on the screen prior to unplugging is "burned" into the black screen for a few minutes. If both monitors had worked, I would have given this monitor an easy 5 stars.
