Texture/ Finish:
Unlike the dewy BB cushions I lean towards, this BB cushion is actually a satin finish to my surprise. From the name "jelly”, I was expecting it to be dewy but it is satin! I usually don’t like satin or matte finishes since they don’t work that great with my skin, but this BB cushion along with their jelly pack is heaven!! σ(≧ε≦ｏ) The jelly pack leaves my skin super hydrated, primer and with the jelly cushion on top, my skin never looked so flawless with base make up. I’m not kidding you, my skin looks like my skin but ten times better. You can almost not even detect that I have make up on. I even bring this cushion along with the jelly pack to Hong Kong. If I was feeling dry, which I definitely wasn’t since humidity there was 80%, I would moisturize and primer my skin with the jelly pack first. Most of the time, I just used this BB cushion straight onto my face and it worked great since it was also combatting the humidity for me and giving me coverage.
Coverage:
Most BB cushions usually have a very light coverage. Luckily for this one, the jelly cushion is light to medium and is easily buildable. With one layer, my skin is easily evened out. For those areas where it is extra red, I can go over that area with a second layer. My skin doesn’t look Barbie doll flawless, but more of an au naturel kind of flawless.
Lasting power:
Surprisingly, this BB cushion also lasts long for me! Both in Canada and Hong Kong, which are two continents with polar opposite temperatures and humidity, both places lasted me a good 6-8 hours of wear. Of course in Hong Kong, it lasted a little less due to the extreme heat and humidity, where as Canada has low humidity and I don’t sweat much therefore it lasts a good 8 hours.
