Imagine my surprise when using the Art of Shaving Pre-Shave oil not only worked as they had promoted, but it worked great! I had never used a pre-shave treatment of any kind before this experience. My thought was "It can't make a difference, why change what I am doing now?" Boy was I wrong! The oil went on smooth, it felt nice to the touch. I worried that I was going to be left feeling greasy. I am pleasantly surprised to inform you that it left no oily residue! I am a convert. In the past I dealt with razor burn and just thought it was the way it had to be. The pre-shave oil made a noticeable different when I shaved using this versus no pre-treatment. It "prepped" my skin so it was much easier to remove hair and I did not suffer razor burn. The Art of Shaving Pre-Shave oil has changed the way I shave, forever! I highly recommend this product, you will absolutely NOT be disappointed!Written by a customer while visiting taos.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportPretty Awesome6/30/2014Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews6/30/2014by I'm not a man who uses a lot of products. I wash up with a shampoo/body wash combo and wear deodorant. That's about it. When I saw this shaving it with more products in it than I use total, I was skeptical to say the least. It just looked like more trouble that I was really willing to go through on a regular basis. In addition, I also hate to shave. Seriously, I hate it. I have a lot of facial hair. Seriously, a lot. It's thick, both dense and the individual hairs are all really thick. They also grow in all different directions. Shaving is just a big pain and I avoid it if at all possible. However, in the spirit of giving The Art of Shaving Kit a fair shake, I gave the Pre-Shave Oil a shot. Wow is all I can say. I really think this stuff makes a difference. It seemed to really get in there and soften up the hair, making it easier to shave even my face. This is all pretty new for me, but this product has opened my eyes to a whole new shaving world.Written by a customer while visiting taos.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportHas scent, but is unusable anyway6/30/2014Average rating:1out of5stars, based onreviews6/30/2014by DoberhoundDespite claiming to be unscented, The Art of Shaving pre-shave oil most definitely has a scent. Luckily, it is a somewhat manly scent that is very nice. However, that is of little import, because if used, the razor cartridge utilized, will be in the bin right after the shave. Additionally, it is a good bet that The Art of Shaving pre-shave oil is the culprit behind the shave taking four times longer to actually complete. On the one hand, it is a very good skin protector during the shave. On the other hand, it gunks up the blades and making it impossible to rinse the razor in preparation for another stroke. Despite running it under hot water for a lengthy period, the blades would just not come clean. Typically, this reviewer would just use a basin in which to swish the razor head, however, it would appear nothing on earth short of a flame thrower would dislodge the gunk in the blades. Long story short, avoid if possible.Written by a customer while visiting taos.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportWow - I'm converted6/30/2014Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews6/30/2014by MrAndyPuppyI was super skeptical of
