Made by K'NEX?? this building set is a strong contender for the strangest looking toy you or your child will ever own. It's based on a chimera?? a mythical creature with the head of a lion?? the body of a goat?? and the tail of a snake?? which here are hooked together through an odd network of assembly pieces. Pressing a button releases an electronic "!" sound; other moving parts include shooting venom (actually a torpedo-like glob of red plastic)?? punching claws?? and a jaw that opens and closes. The control stick at the beast's pelvis protrudes in an unfortunate manner. --Andy Boynton
