Descripton:
Jay Chou's first attempt at directing a TV series with a super hero twist. Pandamen is about heroes who both wear panda masks to conceal their identity. They are played by Jay's good friends Devon Song and Yuhao respectively. The drama lasts 29 episodes, each episode made with the highest production value.

 

 

Jay Chou previously said that ‘Pandamen’ is a television series filmed like a movie. The production fees are estimated to surpass $100 million. In the drama, Jay plays a valiant police detective, but his scenes are much less than Nan Quan Mama's Yu Hao & Devon (Dan Tou) who are the main leads. But Jay says loyally: “If I have a lot of scenes, then what are they supposed to do?”

 
In the drama, Jessie Chiang plays ‘JVR Music’ teacher but she doesnt have many scenes with Jay. Rather she plays a couple with Yu Hao, but there are not many intimate scenes between them, seeming to show Jay 'over-protectiveness' .

Because ‘Pandamen’has many scenes filmed in the zoo, CTS is planning on organizing a charity event with the city zoo.

"Pandaman" is an idol drama with a strong tint of sci fi, Jay Chou admitted that his inspiration came from Mainland China giving the two pandas Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan to Taiwan, these two pandas have become the main stars in Jay Chou's new series, they are going to become ambassadors of justice, they take on the responsibilities of defeating evil, helping people, saving the world and maintaining peace.
