It starts off as a gel, and turns into a thick, creamy foam that allows my razor to glide effortlessly over the skin, resulting in smooth, silky legs free of razor burn. There is no scent, which is nice because I already use enough scented products in the shower so there is really no need for my shaving cream to have a fragrance. While I generally apply lotion after shaving, I find that I do not need one when I've used the Satin Care shave gel - it is that moisturizing! The product comes in a traditional metal can, with an easy to use dispenser. I just love to watch it transform from gel to cream, and it makes shaving so much easier and more comfortable. I often forget to buy shaving cream and end up using soap or body wash to shave with, but this product has reminded me just how much better shaving can be when done with the proper product - I am definitely going to purchase this shave gel when I run out! The gel has a very lite, subtle scent that is not overwhelming and did not irritate my skin or psoriasis. It does not take a lot to cover my entire leg and lathers nice and smooth. It is not watery or runny like other brands I have used. I tried it 3 times since receiving my free full size sample. It is a great product compared to a lot of others I have tried. The only thing I did not like was the feeling after it was rinsed when I was finished. My legs felt like dried soap on my legs. I did use lotion after the third try and it made a big difference in the feel. Overall I like the shave gel combined with the Gillette Venus Embrace Sensitive Care razor! I recommend it for others with sensitive skin issues and those with issues with strong perfumes! I used Satin Care Sensitive Skin with Aloe and was really happy with the results (I blamed it on the aloe!) On my everyday rutine.. So I decided to try it while at the beach, I was so nervous that I still packed coconut oil and conditioner as a back up (call me crazy but I didn't feel like suffering while vacationing) first day I used it my skin had a slight sunburn, I was pretty nervous so I only shaved one leg with it and the other with conditioner and coconut oil, the results were the same! I had no bumps, no itchy skin! I can stop traveling with a bunch of extra jars and bottles! My skin felt smooth and it did not irritate it at all! I am still blaming the results on the Aloe! Seriously they need to put Aloe on everything! This has become a must in my shaving routine!
