I bought 2 cans of BullFrog Water Sport SPF 50 sunblock spray from Harris Teeter on Friday.This stuff is garbage. Cooking oil would have been more effective. Spent the day at the beach yesterday and all 3 of my kids were sun burned, badly in some spots. We reapplied multiple times and emptied the bottles. I know there are factors like swimming time, skin condition when applied, duration between application, etc... Point is at the end of the day, under normal use conditions, when applied normally and expected for the situation it does not work. Due to irresponsible practices from a time when I was much younger I have had to have several areas of skin removed due to various types of skin cancer, so we know the importance of safe sun practices.Pic is of my daughter posting how much pain she is in. We do lots of surfing and swimming and I never have issues getting burned. I made sure I reapplied around every hour and a half and we were all good... I thought it absorbed pretty fast and didn't rub off easily. Pacific with my family. I saw this on the shelf and was excited to know we would be free to enjoy swimming and snorkeling all day and not worry about sun burns. To our surprise, we all sunburned on the first day after only a couple hours of swimming AND we reapplied it during that time because we weren't sure about the spray version of the product. Throughout the week all 5 of us used it and came to not trust it. I had an old Water Armor Quick Gel bottle that was expired by 6 years and we used it instead and worked like I remembered.
