Those rose shaped bottle caps absolutely kill my hands when I TRY to open a new container! 99 times out of a hundred I can't get them off! I have to ask my husband to do it. Yesterday I bought a new bottle. Tried in vain to get the cap off. Waited for hubs to get home from work. Forgot to have him open it. Now I'm stuck for another full day (on the weekend) unable to do laundry because I can't get the painful lid off! I try using a cloth between my hand and the cap to ease some of the pain. I've beaten the lid with a knife and several other objects....kinda like you do a jelly jar lid when it's tough to get off. NOTHING works! I hate those caps with a passion. I'm giving up Downy if they can't put a decent cap on their product! Who cares about fancy cut caps?!!! I need to use the product without asking for help to get it open! How lame is that! It is difficult to get a decent grip on it to twist open. The grooves on the side coming down from the rose petal cap design are going in the wrong direction or angle for opening. It would have been better to reverse the angle on the petal grooves or retain vertical grooves on the cap side to facilitate a better grip for opening and closing.
