It's non-dairy...so those with lactose intolerance do not even have a problem with it. I love the chocolate flavors and the vanilla best. The strawberry can sometimes be very watery (don't know why but other people have commented on this in my WL support group). Being a vegetarian, it helps me get the Dr recommended amount of protein needed to help me maintain muscle. I don't want to be a weight lifter, but am tone and don't need surgery to remove flab even at my age with the amount of weight that I have lost so far!
