They do quite well at keeping a person warm and they are a rather nice fit. I personally purchased the XL to have a little big in case it would shrink in the wash. However, to my surprise, the did not shrink and the size actually fits well even though the majority of my purchases are in the Large size which is what I have worn for many years and they still fit well. I mostly wear mine around the house so that I don't have to keep the heat cranked up and I stay pretty comfortable. I would definitely recommend these shirts to anyone that is looking for a reasonably priced fall/winter shirt. The price, of course, is great, but the shirt is even better. It is very soft, not stiff and bulky, and very warm. The quality is very good, as is most Wrangler products, well sewn, sharp and clean looking. Remember it is slightly oversized...that means the shoulders are larger.
