Product Description

The NESDR Nano-P is very similar to our NESDR Nano. The major difference is the antenna input connector type, which is IEC-169-2 (PAL) female. This device is offered as an alternative for our European customers where this connector type is quite common for antenna aerials. As this is a much larger connector than the MCX female on the Nano, the device is slightly larger in dimensions (but still quite a bit smaller than the NESDR Mini).
These units are custom made by NooElec to perform well for SDR, unlike the ''generic'' models sold by competitors. This includes improved crystals and capacitors which assist in lowering the noise floor, increase stability and improve longevity.

These units are based on the R820 (R820T) tuner IC made by Rafael Micro, which means these devices will have an approximate tuning range of 25MHz-1700MHz. There is also an RTL2832 (RTL2832U) IC on board of course, to provide basic demodulation and USB interface functionality, which allows for interfacing to a large number of popular SDR software packages, such as SDR#, HDSDR, SDR Touch, Planeplotter--too many to list, really. We''re talking Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, Raspberry Pi...you''d be hard pressed to find somewhere you can''t use these!
The connector type on the antenna and USB board is IEC-169-2 (PAL)--male IEC-169-2 on the antenna, female IEC-169-2 on the SDR. There are plenty of adapter and adapter cables available in our store if you want to connect your favorite antenna!
