Big Red Beard Combs came to be by simple necessity. Its founder needed a better beard comb than the typical go-to plastic comb that may have worked in a pinch, but lacked any type of warmth or character and produced annoying static. Coming from a craftsman background of furniture making, crafting the combs from wood was a natural start. The end result was a comb that was strong, flexible and beautifully crafted. Best of all, no static.



The No. 16 'Hardwood Blade' is constructed using Big Red's standard laminated process making for one of the largest and strongest combs they offer. This double sided comb gives you the best of both worlds. One side is a slightly modified fine tooth similar to No. 7 and the opposite side is the wide tooth pattern of No. 9


Big Red Beard Combs are crafted with a laminated technology, which ensures that your comb is made as tough as possible. The comb is made from a total of four layers to add rigidity and strength to the teeth and body of the comb. This process drastically increases the strength to ensure your comb will be around for quite some time.
