This is a jaw section from the prehistoric carnivore CAVE BEAR. Included with the fossil is a nice metal display label. The jaw measures approximately 2 3/4 inches in length. The cave bear (Ursus spelaeus) was a species of bear that lived in Europe during the Pleistocene and became extinct at the beginning of the Last Glacial Maximum about 24,000 years ago.
