They are the most comfortable, surprisingly light-weight, wonderfully fitting shoes I've had and could imagine. I never knew Dr. Scholl's even made athletic shoes until I found them at Walmart a number of years ago and now I'm buying yet another pair. I will not buy any other brand anymore. It isn't often one finds a truly superior product in today's market, but this is certainly one... and the low price is just as surprising. I walk 7 miles a day. One heel wore through on the 9th wearing. The other heel wore through on the 10th wearing. This was not my experience on the first two pairs. The quality of materials on the heels has varied. Size was also not consistent in my three pairs. Width is not wide. You are taking a chance on cheap brand name sneakers.
