She played with it for well over an hour and enjoyed all the pieces, including the box it came in. She hasn't yet learned how to put the pieces in the correctly shaped holes yet, but I got the item because our 4 year old grandson loves Thomas the train and I hoped he would take the time to play with his little sister with this toy and show her how to use it....and that is exactly what happened. He will teach her how to put the pieced in the correct slots. He has already taught her how to open the top to get the shapes out of there.
