Eocene Otodus Sharks Species Tooth

The Otodus shark species lived around 50 millions years ago. They were estimated to be twice the size of the present day Great White Sharks.

Cretaceous Crocodile Tooth (Morocco)

One of the largest crocodilians that had ever walked the earth was Sarcosuchus. This 12m long crocodile fought and ate dinosaurs! They belong to the Cretaceous period crocodilian family that lived approximately 75 to 145 millions years ago.

Squalicorax Tooth (Morocco)

The Squalicorax Shark was another species of prehistoric sharks that lived during the Cretaceous period. They were approximately 2-5m in length and had a body shape that resembled modern grey sharks. However, their teeth are strikingly similar to that of Tiger sharks. The Squalicorax was a coastal predator that lurked in shallow waters, patiently waiting to ambush unsuspecting turtles.

Titanosaurus Eggshell (5mm)(Argentina)

Titanosaurus literally means Titanic Lizard. No, it wasn't the colourful beast that fought Godzilla in the cartoon. The real life Titanosaurus was a gentle giant that fed on plants (Herbivorous). Their bones are rare, so we bring you the next best thing, a tiny piece of their fossilized eggshells!

Mammoth Tusk (United Kingdom)

Manny was a lovable character from the Ice Age films. However, when our ancestors actually lived alongside these magestic Elephant-like creatures during the Pleistocene period 1.8 million years ago, they were hunted for their meat, tusks, bones and fur. Woolly mammoths were approximately twice the size of the largest African Elephants.

Cretaceous Sauropods Species Bone (USA)

The Sauropod Dinosaurs were the largest animals that ever walked the earth. They were gentle by nature and spent most of their days grazing on leaves and plants. Although herbivores were generally preyed upon by carnivores, the Sauropods were usually left alone simply because of their immense size.

Lamna Otodus Tooth (Morocco)

In the present day, Great White Sharks have always gotten all the attention due to one of Hollywood's classic, Jaws. However, in the natural world, there is another shark that is equally, or even more ferocious - the Mako. The Lamna Otodus was the ancestor of the Mako. With a smaller but more streamline body, the Lamna Otodus moved like a speeding torpedo and tore victims up using its razor-sharped teeth.

Mosasaurus Tooth (Morocco)

The picture of the Mosasaurus speaks for itself. A monitor lizard-like marine creature that ruled the sea during the Eocene period 50 million years ago.

Spinosaurus Tooth (Morocco)

If you had watched Jurassic Park III, you would have remembered that the mighty T-Rex actually lost a fight and had its neck broken by a Spinosaurus! Scientists are not too sure why the Spinosaurus had a sail/fin on its back. However, there are speculations that it was a beauty mark for the purpose of finding a mate, similar to that of a peacock's colourful tail.

Megalodon Tooth (4cm)(USA)

You think a Great White Shark is frightening? How about a shark that was 4 times the size of a Great White? Megalodons are the stuff nightmares are made up of. Jonah survived after he was swallowed by a whale. I wouldn't have such high hopes if it was a Megalodon instead!
