Create wonderful sugar flowers easily，using these specially designed Foam Pads to make 

beautiful shaped petals and foliage with soft natutal curves and additional veining detail.

The pads can be used in conjunction with a variety of decorative decorative mediums including，

flower paste(gum paste)，sugarpaste(rolled fondant)，almond paste and modelling chocolate.

 

Instructions

White Flower Foam Pad

1.To soften and shape the edges of petals and leaves，place the cut shape onto the foam pad and 

using either a Dog Bone or Ball Tool，positioned half on the paste and half on the pad，gently slide 

the moddlling tool around the edges.This will thin the edges and also add gentle shape and movement.

2.Cupping-This basic technique is extremely popular，especially when making traditional roses and 

blossoms etc.Place a Ball Tools onto the cut out shape and rotate the modelling tools to create

a cupped shape.

3.Veining-The Flower Leaf modelling tool with create both sharp and soft veining lines，simply by 

drawing the back of the tool along the paste.

 

Blue Mexican Foam Pad

This popular and traditional technique of creating a Mexican Hat is made even easier when used in 

conjuncion with the Mexican Foam Pad

a.Moude a piece of paste into a smooth ball shape and then into a cone.Use the fingertips to pinch 

out the fat part of the cone.Extend the paste out further using the plain end of Bulbulous Cone Tool，

to create a simple Mexican Hat shape.

b.Using your chosen cutter e.g Primrose，Daisy，Five Petal，Calyx and Fuchsia etc，place the cutter over 

the cone to cut out the basic shape.

c.Place the cone into the appropriate sized hole in the Mexican Hat Foam Pad and soften，cup and vein 

the petals as required.

The Foam Pads are washable and non stick，although a small quantity of cornflour or icing sugar can be
