I have a bone spur or something on the inside ankle, these are one of the few shoes that don't rub it so much. Like many canvas sneakers they seem to be low in the heel, unlike basketball shoes. I have skated a lot of over priced shoes in my life and this sneaker is better than some well known brands. After the bottoms get broke in there is a carpet like material that is super grippy!
