Jerusalem Map Glass Wall Clock - English

Product Description

Wall clock with printing of the section of the Jerusalem map, taken from the city center. The clock hands are located at a square called "Talita, kumi" square, at the corner of Ben Yehuda and King George streets. The origin of the name, translated from Aramaic to Hebrew is literally: "Wake up little girl", lies in the New Testament story. The story describes a miracle done by Jesus, which caused a little girl - the daughter of Yair Galili, to wake up and walk after being ill and in a coma. In the past there was a magnificent building in this area, which served as girls Orphanage and was decorated with arches in front, a sign bearing the name " Talita, kumi", and a big clock. The building was demolished over the years, but its front with the clock remained. The square is popular in the city today as a meeting place for the young people.
