I've struggles to find a lather that doesn't leave me with razor burn or dry skin after. I have a cabinet full of didn't kinds. I tried the moisturize shave cream. I was hoping this product would help with the razor burn, but it didn't do any worse or better than the others I have used. But what was nice is that it did not dry my face out like the others. To combat the dry skin I have used a face lotion that left my skin greasey, but this cream didn't require that so it left my face clean feeling. If you have issue with dry skin this is worth trying, if not I would probably pass on it. This product is for a razor, it would not work well using a straight blade. Overall it performed as expected. The bonus was not having to using a moisturizing lotion after leaving my face feeling dirty. Not to mention the time savings not having the extra step. If you already don't do that than there's no reason to use this product. I've tried Gillette products in the past, but normally just lather up some Dove. It has a cool looking can that would more than likely grab the novice shaver away from the cheaper varieties. When dispensing it from the can, it's blue, so mentally I'm thinking cooling effect. At first sniff, it seems to have a scent seemingly familiar to higher end colognes, but with a hint of musk. It's neither out of this world, or stinky. Overall it's a decent smelling product. When massaging it onto the shaving area. It does lather up really nice. Overall, it seems like a typical shave. I opted for the moisturizing, but honestly I couldn't tell you, if my skin was softer or not. I didn't suffer any skin irritation, so the product does work as intended. If asked if I would buy it again? Perhaps, but I wouldn't go out of my way to make sure a can was on my shopping list. I'm giving it 4 stars, as it is definitely a great product, but nothing that stands out ahead of the other choices out there. I wanted to make sure I tried it before I gave a review. Overall I'm impressed. The gel comes out blue and of course when you rub your hands the lather turns white (like all other shave gels). However, I found this particular brand requires a very small amount to maintain a relatively thick layer of shaving cream. I didn't end up with razor burn or an after shave facial rash like I have had happen when trying a new brand... That's a major bonus as my face has become increasingly sensitive with age. For many years I avoided shaving and kept a beard because I would get terrible facial rash or red blotches on my face after shaving. T
