Interesting information: -Sujani kantha or straight kantha used for quilted or making scarves such as the ones in this listing are created using straight kantha stitches. It is relatively simple stitch but due to the number of stitches needed to impart longevity to vintage saree fabric quite time consuming to produce one scarf. However result is absolutely beautiful. -There are several sub-styles within Kantha form of embroidery. The most difficult, time consuming and complex are nakshi kantha motifs as in these highly intricate tribal, wildlife and mythological motifs are created using very small stitches.
