Product Description
TEAS stands for Tanabe Electric Active Suspension and is the counterpart of the Sustec Pro FIVE Sustec Pro SEVEN suspensions. This compact unit is the brain behind the highly sophisticated new Tanabe suspensions. TEAS is a fully programmable dampener controller that allows for dampening force to be automatically adjusted while driving. TEAS accomplishes this by connecting and using the signal from the vehicle's Speed Sensor. TEAS active dampening control is uniquely possible due to the use of the specialized valving of the FIVE SEVEN in conjunction with TEAS slim high speed actuators. These actuators change dampener settings in 1/100ths of a second which is necessary as TEAS can continuously change settings at different speeds. FOR ANY ROAD BE IT A CIRCUIT CITY STREET OR WINDING ROAD THERE IS USUALLY NEVER ONE SINGLE PERFECT SUSPENSION SETTING THROUGHOUT THE COURSE. The perfect damper setting for high-speed cornering may be unfavorable for low- speed hairpins. TEAS allows the driver to program our coilovers to deliver best of both worlds -- perfect high- speed stability and maximum hairpin agility -- automatically. ACTIVE MODE Takes readings from the vehicle speed sensor to automatically make dampening changes. When programming TEAS you may program up to 9 triggers that activate when you reach a variety of speeds. Increments of as little as 5mph can trigger a damper setting change. Once Active Mode is programmed and turned on TEAS will automatically adjust settings as you drive. MANUAL MODE Allows front and rear damper settings to be individually adjusted by manual input or recalled from any of four saved settings. Additionally Manual Mode settings can be used as base maps for Active Mode.
