The UGEARS 460 Locomotive with Tender combines all of the technical and artistic innovations that builders have come to appreciate in our other models and takes them a step beyond. Richly detailed with an eye toward realism and romance, our version of this indelible symbol of 19th century technology and adventure captures the imagination of all who see it. It’s no wonder it was such a hit during our Kickstarter campaign.

Our locomotive is driven by rubber bands and a gear array instead of superheated steam, but otherwise its main mechanism looks and operates very much like that of a real steam engine. Up close you can see working asynchronous pistons and valves that transfer power to the locomotive’s drive wheels through a moving system of rods, linkages and cranks.

Small touches like a fully detailed engineer’s cab with retractable step ladder, art-deco boiler trim, and open-up Tinder with coal doors complete this beautiful reminder of a bygone era. The UGEARS 460 Locomotive with Tinder is our largest, most complex model to date; yet thanks to our patented plywood joint design and rigorous engineering and quality control process, a hobbyist can complete this model in a single sitting. The UGM-11 Truck represents a new generation of UGEARS mechanical models with greater
sophistication and more features. This model runs, shifts, steers, and accelerates just like a real truck.

The set of Additions for Truck includes:

• The Tanker with a unique opening mechanism;
• Extendable 3-section Fire Ladder on slewing platform. Has the length of 70cm in unfolded state
• Truck’s Trailer: the Chassis with wheels on which the Truck’s “bed” is set.


Having 3 Trucks with a Set of Additions you will create your own car park with Rescue& Fire Truck, Tanker and Truck with Trailer.


The Tanker is equipped with a unique opening mechanism. The Tanker is designed and fit well for standard 0.33 L cans. Twist the knob on the tanker’s cap and unfold it in surprising way.  The Tanker have a raw, open look so even the casual observer could appreciate the marvels going on inside.


The Fire Ladder has several controls.  Press the lever and lift up the ladder. Turn the platform to the right or to the left.  Fix the selected  position with a special ratchet. All three sections of the ladder are extending  ahead. Ascend the ladder and you’ll get a real crane with hook at its end. There is even a little ladder to help Firemen to climb on the truck in few seconds. Like in a real Fire Truck it is mounted on back.


The Trailer Сhassis has very realistic springs which are swinging during driving. There is a special rack under the drawbar, so that the model could stand independently.

Build your own safe with a personal lock combination, store your most precious items in the safe (jewelry or candy, your choice), and then promptly forget your combination! Follow the handy steps in the instructions to master the mix of slow knob twists and careful listening to tumbler movements that will open the lock. Will you retrieve your items, or will you have to hire a locksmith? Try it and see.

 

Rules of the safe opening:

At first you should renew code lock: twist the knob safe counterclockwise (left) to one-two turns. You can now dial the code:

1 - Scroll the knob counterclockwise (left) to the first digit from 1 to 9. Stay on it.

2 - Now turn the knob clockwise (right) to the number zero. After passing zero continue to twist the handle to the right to the second code digits from 1 to 9. Stay on it.

3- Again turn the knob counterclockwise (left) to the third digit.

If the combination is correct, your safe clicks and opens itself  on  the third digit.

(Briefly rules: twist left to the first digit, then right  to the second zero digit and then left of the third digit).

To re-close the safe - close the door, scroll the knob counterclockwise (left) - the lock closes itself.
