The website shows the lamp with white fittings, hinges, power knob, and clamp, with shiny metal springs. The one I received had the above items in BLACK, including the power cord and springs. It also has some minor scratches. I've gone to the manufacturer's website to confirm finishes. What I received is NOT as shown either on LightingDirect's or Lite-Source's websites (or any other sellers)! I'll be contacting LightingDirect tomorrow for a replacement or full refund including return shipping. It also took close to 3 weeks for me to receive the lamp. Functionally the lamp is fine. The appearance is beyond unacceptable!Written by a customer while visiting build.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportSwing Arm Lamp12/11/2016Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews12/11/2016by BonkersHappy with my purchase. Luckily I already had the weighted base which makes a nice second option to the clamp. (not offered through seller) Good value for the money! Will definitely purchase again.Written by a customer while visiting build.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportBest Swing Arm Lamp so far4/26/2012Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews4/26/2012by Having purchased several swing arm lamps of another brand (Si******) that turned out to be basically "Junk", this lamp was a refreshing success. After installation and some minor adjustments, it is the ONLY swing arm unit that I've ever had that works properly! With the other ones I would move the lamp into, what I considered to be, an ideal position, let go and the lamp would move from where I had it set to where ever it wanted to go, usually into an area where live wires or fans were causing MANY problems. With this one, I move it where I want it, let go and IT STAYS THERE!!! It doesn't move. Really great!Written by a customer while visiting build.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportExcellent Lamp for the $$8/24/2009Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews8/24/2009by SuSu2My husband uses these lamps in the bedroom and the garage. I asked him to let me purchase on-line for him; however, he insisted that a store locally should have them in stock. After he wasted about $20 in gasoline and couldn't find these lamps anywhere...he decided to let me purchase from LightingDirect. The lamps are wonderful for the money...the color selection is great...instead of standard black or brown, he chose the polished steel. The lamps are perfect...look much more expensive than the costs reflect...and ordered an extra to have on-hand for any future needs. Great purchase at a great price!Written by a customer while visiting build.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportExcellent lamp10/27/2010Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews10/27/2010by NigelRGClamp-on desk lamps hard to find in my local stores, and I don't like the free-standing ones, because they don't have enough reach. This lamp is perfect - cheap, functional, and available in a wide range of colors. I use it with a 100 W equivalent CFL.Written by a customer while visiting build.comWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportPerfect!1/31/2009Average rating:5out of5stars, based onreviews1/31/2009by 1XerAttractive and simple swing arm with an easy turn switch perfect for my need for focusing light direc
