The brand new SSW Ultra Wide Eyepieces feature an exceptionally 83 Degree wide field of view. Its 7 element design, combined with the exotic glass, offers unparalleled contrast and sharpness, outclassing all current brands. High-transmission/low-dispersion lanthanum and tantalum glass are used in the manufacture of these Japanese made eyepieces. Full multi-coating on all lens surfaces, in combination with special coating on the lens connecting surfaces, deliver high contrast sharp star images across the entire field of view with 99.9% light transmission. No edge darkening is evident over the entire 83 Degree FOV and no vignetting, even with fast f/4.0 optics. This delivers bright images, with no ghost or flare, for an extraordinarily clear field of view.
