In 1986, Japanese researchers published a study on the effects of Puer tea and conventional green tea on fat metabolism in rats. The study showed that the rats that were given Puer tea had a significant reduction of adipose tissue (body fat). The green tea had no fat-reducing effect. Alternative medicine expert Bryce Wylde stated on a recent Dr. Oz Show that 2 cups of Puer tea, when taken in the morning, speeds up your metabolism and shrinks fat cells. He reported that Puer tea has enzyme-activating ingredients, such as garlic acid, that shrink fat tissue.

About puer Tea
Most of our Puer tea leave are from the Natural Wild Puer Tea trees which are more than 100 years old. Some of them are even more than 1,000 years old! Unlike those from tea plantation, ours are rich in natural aroma and minerals which are beneficial to your health. Ancient trees (gŭshù, “古树"): Teas from old wild trees, grown without human intervention, are the highest valued puer tea leaves.

Ancient Trees Puer teas have the following characteristics.
1. Fragrance.
Premium tea should be aromatic with a light but distinct fragrance, from dry tea leaves, tea liquid be it hot or cool, and cup after drinking. It has a very soothing aroma which will make us feel relax and calm.

2. Tea Soup / Liquid The tea soup should never appear cloudy or opaque.
It should be crystal clear with a light to medium golden yellow color. The flavors should persist and be revealed throughout separate or subsequent infusions, and never abruptly disappear.

3. Taste.
The Tea may sometimes be quite bitter and astringent, but should also exhibit immediately after drinking, a pleasant mouth feel and "sweet" aftertaste, referred to as gān (甘) and húigān(回甘). The Sweet after-taste will linger in your mouth and even the throat for a long time.

4. Texture
The texture should be rich and thick and should have very distinct gān (甘) and húigān(回甘) on the tongue and cheeks, which together induces salivation and leaves a "feeling" in the back of the throat.

5. Ease of Swallow
The Tea is thick and smooth which make it easy to drink and flow down to the throat.

6. Reaction to the Body and Mouth
The Tea has the great strength and power that different people will have different reactions to the Tea. The common reactions are different parts of the body, such as Palm, Foot, Back, Shoulder, may feel the heat and start to perspire.

Mt. Bu-Lang 布朗山
It consists many famous villages such as Lao-Man-Er(老曼饿),with 1,400 years of the longest tea-planting history in the world, and Lao-banzhang (老班章),the King of Puer.

Mt. Meng-Song (勐宋山)
Arbor Puer tea here has a slight bitterness and sweetness followed by a delightful after taste from Mt. Meng-Song.

Mt. Ba-Da (巴达山)
Mt. Ba-da has many ancient Puer trees as old as 1,800 years. Our Puer tea is harvested from arbor trees during spring seasons only. It has strong Cha-qi and after-taste, full bodied, slightly bitter but will transform quickly into light honey sweetness and linger in your mouth.

How to brew Puer Tea
"5-Second Secret" of Brewing Puer Tea:
a. Put 5-8 grams tea leave, just cover the bottom of the teapot.
b. Water temperature 100c.
c. Wash tea for 2-3 seconds using boiled water, wash twice.
d. Pour out all tea water every 5 seconds from 3rd round onwards. Additional 1-2 seconds thereafter.
e. Can brew up to 10 times, depending on personal drinking preference.
