HUAWEI Wingle E8278 150Mbps LTE modem is the world's first Cat4 WiFi dongle. It could support 4G LTE FDD and TDD @ 20MHz. The peak speed for download is 150Mbps and upload is 50Mbps when working on FDD mode. When working on TDD mode， it supports download speed up to 112Mbps and upload speed to 10Mbps.

Just like HUAWEI E3276 Cat4 LTE Surfstick， HUAWEI E8278 also looks like a 4G USB dongle， but actually， it's a USB WiFi router to support up to 10 WiFi devices to get connected via LTE WiFi for surfing internet， such as tablets， smartphones. So with a power adapter， its function is the same as HUAWEI E5776 Cat4 LTE Mobile WiFi Hotspot.

In addition to LTE， UMTS and DC-HSPA+ are supported by HUAWEI Wingle E8278. For the improvement of reception in poor network coverage， there are two connctors for external antenna in HUAWEI E8278.
