I had been using it sporadically for a few years and my chin kept getting dryer and dryer, but I didn't associate the dryness with this cream. Finally, after seeing my dermatologist, she suggested I try to be more consistent with applying a cream, so I applied this nighttime cream for 4-5 nights in a row and by the morning of the last day my chin and neck skin where I had applied it was peeling with white flaky sections. Still I didn't think it was the cream and was just wondering what was going on with my skin! I peeled off the white flakiness and the next morning was covered with red itchy and painful circles, about the size of a dime and nickle, all over my chin and neck! I searched on the web thinking I had eczema or psoriasis! But the symptoms didn't match. A nurse friend said it might be an ingredient in this cream! I want to know what ingredient is causing this so I can find a cream to use. When I had my first baby five years ago my skin changed quite a bit from the hormone fluctuations. I was left with very dry and flaky skin with hyper pigmentation on my cheeks and nose that is more of a red coloration than brown. I applied this cream most nights and just ran out after 4 months of use (a little goes a long way). I never had any problems with breakouts or discomfort. It hydrates my skin well and soaks in quickly. I've even used it in the morning and applied makeup over the top without issue. I am impressed with the results. My red pigmentation is all but gone and my skin is starting to produce some oil on its own now making me more of a normal skin type instead of the very dry. I have a few post-acne marks, age spots, and some redness around my nose/cheeks. I've been pairing this with the Positively Radiant SPF 30 and I've noticed that my skin looks healthier than it has in a long time. My skin has a healthy glow and a more even tone than it used to. I'll continue to use this product and so far it hasn't caused break outs and doesn't sting when applied.
