The ADXL346 is a small, thin, ultra-low power, 3-axis accelerometer with high resolution (13bit) measurements up to ± 16 g. The digital output data format is 16-bit binary and can be transmitted via an SPI (3 - or 4-wire) or I2C digital interface.
The ADXL346 is well suited for mobile device applications. It measures the static gravitational acceleration in tilt sensing applications, as well as the dynamic acceleration of motion or vibration caused by the acceleration using its high resolution (4mg / LSB) to measure tilt angles less than 1 degree of inclination.
Some special induction functions are available. Such as remote sensing activity and the presence of inactivity or lack of acceleration of the motion to compare any axial acceleration with the user-set g value.
